First we want to clear up a common misconception that ALL consumers should be aware of:

'Genuine' Ugg Boots are a STYLE of boot made from 100% sheepskin, they are NOT a 'brand', as some companies would falsely have you believe (Read the full story here). 

Sheepskin ugg boots and slippers are an AUSTRALIAN icon. They have been synonymous with relaxed Australian culture for decades. They first became popular in the early 1970’s when Australian surfers discovered the warmth of sheepskin boots, that jumping out of the surf and into a pair of sheepskin boots was the best way to get warm.

It was the surfing scene that brought about the awareness of the warming properties of ugg boots, every surfer had to have a pair. Those early designs were very basic, barely more than an oversized sheepskin slipper. Ugg boots have come a long way since then.

Our genuine Blue Sheep^® ugg boots are made of 100% Australian sheepskin, with the fleece acting as a warm lining and the skin providing the external layer. Ugg boots are thermo-dynamic, in cold weather (even to -30°F, -30°C) the soft woolen fleece acts as a natural insulator, keeping your feet warm and comfortable. In warmer conditions (up to 80°F, 25°C) ugg boots breathe, keeping your feet cool and comfortable.
